Service Description

This class provides the information and skills to properly administer medication to residents in your care. You will learn types of medications, medication terminology, and different methods of administration. This class instructs the legal and ethical issues involved when administering medication, and the legal rights of each residents living in a community setting. You will learn facility policies and procedures, medical terms and abbreviations, packaging, labeling, storage, and types of medication supervision. Anyone administering medication within a CBRF must complete this training course in order to meet the requirements of DHS 83.
